RULES GOVERNING OPERATION OF A RAFFLE

  1. Age limit for ticket purchasers is 18 years and over. Purchase must be made in the province of Alberta. Sellers are to advise all ticket purchasers not to put the name of any individual on a ticket that is under the age of 18.
  2. All three draws (Loyalty, Early Bird and Final) will be under the supervision of Black Fund Development Inc., auditors from Stewart and Associates and the firm of Stride Management Corp. All prizes will be drawn at 3950 – 12th Street N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 8H9. Persons wishing to view the draws may do so by attending at the above location on the draw date(s).
  3. Joint Lottery Management Staff of Black Fund Development Inc. and Stride Management Corp. and their immediate family members are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the lottery.
  4. The minimum number of tickets that must be sold or minimum revenue generated before the Lottery is canceled or an extension requested, is any combination of the $75 individual tickets, sets of 2 for $125, sets of 6 for $275 and sets of 18 for $450 that falls under $5,725,000 in revenue or 77% of gross revenue.
  5. The order in which the prizes will be awarded is from the prize of least retail value up to the prize of greatest retail value, including the Loyalty Draw which will be the first ticket drawn followed by the Early Bird Draw, followed by the Final Draw for the 2,673 remaining prizes.
  6. Loyalty Draw August 16, 2019, cut-off July 24, 2019; Early Bird Draw September 27, 2019, cut-off September 12, 2019; Final Draw October 22, 2019, cut-off October 3, 2019. Should all tickets be sold out by the Early Bird cut-off date of September 12, 2019, all draws, beginning with the Early Bird prize will be made, upon pre-approval from the AGLC, September 27, 2019 under the supervision of auditors from Stewart and Associates, the Black Fund Development Inc. and Stride Management Corp.

    The lottery draws will be conducted using an RNG (Random Number Generation) system. The winning raffle draw number shall be determined from the pool of sold raffle ticket numbers. This will include the loyalty, early bird and the final draws.
  7. Retail value of all prizes is $3,821,953. Only 159,420 tickets will be sold; 29,500 individual tickets at $75 each, 16,000 sets of 2 for $125, 6,720 sets of 6 for $275 and 3,200 sets of 18 for $450. 2,675 prizes will be awarded.
  8. Prizes must be accepted as awarded - no substitutes. All winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim their prize. Any costs associated with the delivery of a prize due to distance or unique circumstances will be covered by the Lottery. Some restrictions apply for the travel prize category. All travel prizes are valid for one year from draw date. Extensions may be granted upon request and blackout dates may apply.
    1. Travel – All travel prizes are valid for one year from draw date, however winner must make their choice by October 29, 2019 between the Vacation prize or the travel voucher option. Should the winner not make their choice by this date, the licensee will make the choice on the winner’s behalf. Extensions may be granted upon request and blackout dates may apply. All travel includes return airfare from either Calgary or Edmonton unless otherwise indicated.
    2. Vehicle Prizes – prize will be guaranteed for one year from draw date, however winner must make their choice by October 29, 2019 between the vehicle or the cash option. Should the winner not make their choice by this date, the licensee will make the choice on the winner’s behalf.
  9. All winners will be notified in writing by Black Fund Development Inc. and in some cases also by telephone by Alberta Cancer Foundation representatives of what they have won and how to claim the prize. At the completion of all draws, a complete searchable listing of all prize winners will be posted on cashandcarslottery.ca.
  10. If a winner cannot be located after a period of one year from the draw date, the prize or equivalent cash value will be donated to a charitable beneficiary approved by the Alberta, Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis.
  11. In the event of a winning ticket stub having more than one name the licensee will award the prize to the first name listed on the stub. The licensee and Alberta, Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis are not responsible for resolving any disputes which may arise from the different individuals.
  12. If any ticket purchased has been entered in any draw, no refund will be issued after the draw has taken place.

The You Win 50 draw will be under the supervision of Black Fund Development Inc., auditors from Stewart and Associates and the firm of Stride Management Corp. and take place at 3950 – 12th Street N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 8H9. Anyone wishing to view the draw may do so by attending at the above location on the draw date.

  4. You Win 50 ticket purchasers are not required to purchase a ticket in the Cash and Cars Lottery in order to purchase a You Win 50 ticket.
  5. Draw date for the You Win 50 is October 22, 2019 at the offices of Stride Management Corp., cut-off date to purchase tickets is midnight October 3, 2019. In the event the Cash and Cars lottery sells out by the Early Bird cut-off date of September 12, 2019, then the You Win 50 ticket sales will be cut-off and the draw will take place on September 27, 2019, with AGLC approval.
  6. Cash value of the You Win 50 prize will be a minimum payout ($360,000) or 50% of ticket sales, whichever is greater. Only 488,625 tickets will be sold; 7,500 individual tickets at $10 each, 24,750 sets of 5 for $25, 17,025 sets of 15 for $50 and 3,400 sets of 30 for $75.
  7. Prizes must be accepted as awarded - no substitutes. All winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim their prize. Any costs associated with the delivery of a prize due to distance or unique circumstances will be covered by the Lottery.
